NematX is pioneering the use of liquid crystal polymers for additive manufacturing. As part of their vision to introduce the next generation in high-performance polymer 3D printing, NematX partnered with FOND Design to create the foundation for their product design language.

Working closely with the company's engineering and manufacturing team, we designed their first industrial 3D printing platform. In addition, we supported the company's vision by creating the collaterals for communications as well as the spatial design for the product launch, helping the brand achieve a resounding market launch.

NematX claims to bring to market the most accurate and fastest LCP 3D printer for industrial applications. Drawing on design elements inspired by Swiss Revox reel-to-reel tapes and early 70s computers, along with an angular design language reminiscent of a laboratory, the NEX-01 presents a distinctive aesthetic that evokes precision and accuracy. Unlike other competitors that simply mimic the look of CNC machines, the NEX-01 3d printing platform enters the market with a distinct and pioneering appearance.
